liberté, égalité, proactivité

Our mission is simple: to identify the youth of our world who seek to further liberty and equality for marginalized communities and pair them with a cause that promotes these ideals in a community that they are passionate about.

In a world that is being increasingly dominated by headlines highlighting the inequality that is woven throughout our communities today: ranging from police brutality against communities of color to corruption in politics to sexual harassment across all industries, it is becoming more and more difficult to motivate the youth of the world to take a stance against the inequalities that surround them on the daily. While many of these youth possess the desire and the capabilities to take a proactive, leading role in the fight for equality and shaping a better future for themselves and future generations, it may be overwhelming at times for them to be able to pinpoint exactly where to start.

liberté, égalité, proactivité is an organization that is dedicated to matching proactive individuals to causes that they are passionate about- similar to a dating and/or online matchmaking service- and ensuring that they are connected with the right resources and connections to fully make a difference. It recognizes the importance of the butterfly effect: that a small, seemingly insignificant step can have a huge ripple effect that affects many. While it’s not a traditional organization in that it doesn’t offer goods or services, what liberté, égalité, proactivité does offer is a way for young leaders who aren’t sure where to start in terms of social activism a way to first identify a cause that they are passionate about and finally pair them with a local contact for that cause- while at the same time notifying the local contact that a pairing was made with them. It is an organization that matches a person and a cause in a way similar to online dating applications such as Tinder or Bumble while also combining information about local chapters for these causes that were inspired by the community outreach efforts of many socially conscious companies such as Patagonia.  

liberté, égalité, proactivité recognizes the fact that making the world a better place is a very general sentiment that can be accomplished through millions of ways. liberté, égalité, proactivité allows individuals to narrow down this goal through giving them the means to support a cause that they are passionate about, combining an individual’s passion for activism with their compassion for helping the people that are affected by their selected cause.

It is only at this intersection of passion and compassion that meaningful, lasting change in the world can happen. When combined with the power of the younger generations and an increased awareness of the many injustices of human society, the service that this organization provides becomes even more significant- and it is for this reason as to why I think that AMDP should invest in liberté, égalité, proactivité.
